Education

Miriam is regularly invited to work for The London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Education team as a string tutor at The Southbank Centre and regularly works as the String Leader on the LPO’s holiday course ‘Animate Orchestra.’ Click here for further information on Animate Orchestra

Miriam teaches cello to students every week at Blackheath Conservatoire where she also leads family music workshops.

Miriam is also a private cello teacher at her home in Brockley, South-East London. She teaches a range of standards and ages from children to adults. She enjoys pushing her students to fulfil their potential and encourages them to work towards performances. Miriam often uses the ABRSM exam syllabus but encourages technical development in all aspects of playing which the exam board does not always encourage. If a student wishes to take Trinity Exam board exams, this is no problem.  Miriam also offers her students tutorage in aural and music theory.

Miriam is very passionate about leading interactive music workshops for groups of young people. She has led interactive singing, rhythm and strings playing workshops in mainstream and special needs schools from primary to secondary levels.

Miriam has completed a course in instrumental string teaching, a course in Music Workshop Leadership and a course in Music Therapy at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Miriam regularly gives outreach music workshops with her piano trio, The Bedriska Trio: Click to view the Bedriska Trio´s Education page
