Reflecting on 2015!
2015 was an incredible year. I was extremely lucky to have so many great opportunities to play and record with some talented artists. I want to share with you some of the highlights!
In April I had the pleasure of performing Lalo’s Cello Concerto with the brilliant Siegfried Camerata in Blackheath Halls.(See Videos and Audio)
In June I performed at a sold out show at Wembley Arena with The Grand Philharmonic Orchestra to accompany Indian Bollywood Playback Singer, Arijit Singh; it was epic!
In June I performed Roger O’Donnell’s new album for Four Cellos and Piano ‘Love and Other Tragedies’ in London. It was an incredible experience, and playing with cellists Alisa Liubarskaya, Francesca Ter-Berg and Lucy Rail was awesome.
Also in June I worked with the stunning voice of Elise Yuill, and beautiful sound of Nadine Nagen on violin to create a set of acoustic folk for two sets we performed at Glastonbury Festival in the Green Futures area, thank you Elise and Nadine.
In July I performed Schubert’s Quintet in C for the first time at St Mary’s Perivale, London, a stunning tiny church, and brilliant venue for chamber music. This was a particularly special concert, as I performed with my teacher Richard Markson and his wife Mayumi Fujikawa for the first time. As well as the brilliant Robin Wedderburn and Yukha Nagai!
In November I flew to Udaipur, India with the Grand Philharmonic Orchestra to perform on anIsland, at an epic event; I think I was dreaming!
With the Engines Orchestra I performed at Scarborough Jazz Festival and recorded Femi Temowo’s album ‘Music Is the Feeling’ which will be out soon!
I am very much looking forward to see what 2016 brings!!!
Wildflowers Tour! I’m very excited to be joining Wildflowers on their tour next week ;-)
